Yes. Pretty much to be expected.

For core routers, seems to me that the lion's share of Juniper's revenues came from the carriers, compared to Cisco who also had the large enterprises.

So with the carrier market withering, and enterprise merely retrenching, thus Juniper is affected more than Cisco.

There's less meat in Juniper's lunch, yes. But I wouldn't concluded off the bat it's 'cause Cisco ate it.

In the end however, it has similar consequences for Juniper. Niche economics are brutal.

The reason I follow Cisco so intently is because it is (will be) THE survivor here, and this is a pivotal space. All IMHO, of course.

Whether or not it is a good investment at these prices is a completely different question. On which I have my not so HO. ho ho
