Kopin reports 4th Qtr net loss 10 cents
TAUNTON, Mass., Feb 14 (Reuters) - Kopin Corp.(KOPN), a maker of flat-planel displays and other technology products, on Thursday reported a fourth quarter net loss of 10 cents a share on sharply lower revenues.
In a statement, Kopin said it lost $7.1 million on sales of $15.4 million in the fourth quarter, compared to a net profit of $3.4 million, or 5 cents a share, on sales of $24.6 million last year.
The company's fourth quarter net income figure excludes a charge of $7.4 million for write-offs and acquisition costs.
In addition, the company said it sees overall single-digit sequential growth for the first quarter, roughly flat sequential revenue growth in its "III-V" business, double-digit sequential growth in its cyberdisplay business and seasonal weakness in the wireless handset industry. |
