The simple fact is that Democrats are, empirically, much more likely to be involved in scandal than are Republicans.

Empirically? You'll understand that I don't have much faith in your observations.......you are hardly neutral in your views.

That's not to say an occasional Republican doesn't get his butt in a sling; but overall, Democrats have more problems than do Republicans.

Let me remind you that the only US president of the 20th century that was forced to resign his position was a Republican. Like I said, your empirical views are not to be trusted.

There is, of course, a reason for this. Republicans, as conservatives, simply have much better better definition of right and wrong.

Wrong.......its all about money and power, and those types always work way behind the scene, making it harder to get caught.

Liberals constantly blur the line between right and wrong, whereas conservatives typically have very clear perspectives about it. The typical liberal (for example, a Clinton, Gore, or Daschle) can bend the limits of right and wrong to accomodate a current circumstance. The typical conservative (a Bush or Gingrich) has well-defined principles that, regardless of circumstances, will be adhered to. While there are certainly exceptions (for both conservatives and liberals), it is clear that the more liberal a person is the more likely they can't distinguish right from wrong. This kind of extreme, convoluted liberalism is exemplified by the Clintons and the Hollywood crowd (like this total nitwit Altman or Baldwin).

Let me tell you a little story. We had this guy up here who is a spoiler. He felt some of the tax laws were unfair and he was going to change things. He got two different iniatives onto the ballot....both won. He bragged how he was going to down size gov't; how he was for the people; how he and his team did this out of the goodness of their hearts, gratis, for free. Over and over very loudly he bragged. That he made more than enough money from his business selling watches. Right!

Funny but it turns out his claims weren't true......he had already taken $45k from the campaign donations and was getting ready to take another 157k when the pressure was put on and he came clean. Oh yeah, did I fail to mention he was a Republican? Did I also fail to mention that empirically I have found Reps. to be the most mean, underhanded, dishonest mothafukkers on the planet who give squat about what the people want?

In case you doubt it, I have a lot more dishonest Rep. stories where that one came from. I can't say that Dems are more or less honest but don't give me your empirical malarkey!! It won't fly.
