Where there's smoke, there's fire. The fact that the JCS formed a contingency plan to murder numbers of Americans to accelerate their foreign military adventures is sufficient evidence to be, errr, alarmed maybe?
That fact that Bamford didn't publish evidence that these were carried out isn't comforting, considering the tight lid on intel operations and the years it took just to get to that point. Like the mafia, there is a code of silence. You talk, you die. Only occasionaly do people talk, but sometimes it happens, and will happen again.
That "contingency plan" is sufficient evidence that, at the highest leadership levels, the concern for civilian life was nonexistant, and the willingness to assassinate numbers of Americans in the cause of political support for invasion of a foreign country in time of peace is enough to be concerned.
For most people. Of course, there are those who will accept the idea that our government can kill numbers of Americans at random, to generate support for invading Cuba, say.
Do you agree with that?
How about "fighting evil"? Is that a good enough reason?
Those plans would sufficient for me, as an owner of this country, to clap them in chains, court martial them for treason, find every person involved, and make an example of the kind of rot festering inside the unexamined power structures.
