Good post, CB - thanks for reminding me.

We've been "officially" in recession for about 11 months, manufacturing and telecomm have been in the dumpster for more like 18 months and yet there is a large constituency that believes it is all downhill from here. Makes no sense.

The pessimists compare the US economy to Japan and to the US in 1929, but there is no valid basis for either comparison, imo.

The economy will improve from here. History and probability are on the side of the optimists.
