Hi DJ: I'm not irrationally optimistic, just weighing the probabilities. I am 100% long in boring old economy equities and have been up 20% plus for each of the last three years. To some extent this has shaped my opinion, I guess, but during what has been a very difficult period for high profile, high P/E tech issues, the broader market and more particularly small and mid-cap value-oriented equities have done quite well. It has been possible to make a ton of money on the short side, for sure, but as I have said before I am not a trader.
