Nobody should be presumed guilty for asserting their Constitutional 5th Amendment rights. A negative inference from doing so negates the protection afforded by them.

That Detroit Free Press editorial is contrary to the evidence that is coming out -- slowly, as evidenced by yesterday's very good and credible whistleblower's testimony that she believed Mr. Lay was duped by Skilling and Fastow. I'm sure there's lots more to learn.

I guess when everybody's mad and there are newspaper pages and air time to fill, it doesn't matter what the facts are or whether anybody's really interested in finding out what happened. They just want blood, and don't care whose blood it is.

Imagine what the news media would say if anyone in government even suggested that the media not assert its First Amendment rights.
