Here's the in-depth explanation stockcharts.com In a nutshell, it measures selling/buying pressure, higher TRIN indicates more selling and lower more buying. It takes volume into account which I like. In a bull market, extremely high TRIN is a good time to take a long position. But lately we are getting very high TRIN without any subsequent bounces. Bearish IMO.
