Hi, Ibexx. Both latency (time to first data) and bandwidth
are important for a general purpose memory. Video apps will
work with poor latency, and video has been a major motivation
for new memory designs up to now. In the future, everything has
to be fast. I think that all the players hope to provide a
memory that works for everything -- servers, consumer PCs, or what
have you.
