Gosh. That's really too damned bad that the athletes are so inconvenienced. No one forced them to come here, and they all knew, in advance, that procedures would be very, very tight.

Perhaps, if their countries had taken a more active role in not allowing so many terrorist organizations to gain a foothold (after all, there are 60 countries identified as being "hosts") maybe none of this would have had to happen, including Sept. 11.

These are extraordinary times, dictating extraordinary measures. I believe there are some Israeli families who wish there had been this level of security at an Olympic gathering a few decades ago.

To those athletes and IOC members who don't like it, I say, whine somewhere else.
