Kinder Morgan, Calpine cancel natgas pipeline biz.yahoo.com <Copy> HOUSTON, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (NYSE:KMP - news) and Calpine Corp. (NYSE:CPN - news) said Friday they canceled a new natural gas pipeline project in California after failing to get shipping agreements from other companies. The agreement to build the pipeline, which was slated to begin operations in 2004, stipulated that binding transportation contracts would have to be in place for it to go forward, the companies said. Kinder Morgan and Calpine said they had not spent ``significant'' capital on the project.
