Americans really seem to beleive that they are superior to others. Clearly America in it short history has had some stupendous achievements, but it is a SHORT history. Even so, American children rate last in math, science or world knowledge, American cars are poor in quality and Americans seem to consume high-qulaity foreign made products contributing to a large balance of payment. If anything America is a debtor nation that pretty much consumes nice quality products mostly by others in the world. America has stupendous natural resources, a small population compared to its resources, military power and has amassed large capital that feeds/supports its military power. If not for the stream of hard working and bright immigrants America would be an average country. But to its credit it is surely preferable over autocrats, the english monarchy, fascism, communism or Islamic fundamantalism. But that is no reason for Americans to feel that every body is ogling/envious at them. Simba
