You better check with your attorney friends.
The 'TEMPORARY Restraining Order' does NOT solve the problem.
The "STAY" only DELAYS the day of reckoning for HAL's Dresser subsidiary.
None of the asbestos claims have gone away permanently.

---
"a bankruptcy judge last night granted a temporary restraining order staying all of the claims filed against HAL's Dresser subsidiary; this event is a significant positive for HAL, as the 200k claims that are affected by the stay are the most noxious asbestos claims."
---

ANOTHER thing that bothers me is the general 'CLIMATE' of Accounting.
If the 'creative' Enron Texas Accounting has been 'passing muster' -
Others may have jumped on that SAME 'creative accounting' bandwagon!

You have to wonder what a company under siege (like HAL),
Would do to make THEIR books look BETTER!?!

IMO, the slightest hint of 'creative accounting' would 'tank' this stock.
