Showoff? Powell of all people is now publicly saying "regime change." Cheney is going on a whirlwind tour of four of Iraq's neighbors. The Vice President of the United States is going on a tour of Iraq's neighbors. Pretty high level for mere show biz.

Since when do the Arabs care about what the Palestinians get out of the deal? They will be consigned to the fact that the US will invade once it makes up its mind, irregardless of their protestations... so they may as well seek "compensation" for "economic damage" as the price of their silence. The Arab regimes are whores, and the US has the big bucks. Same game as always.

You're a typical European when it comes to reading this Administration. You all think you still have Clinton in office. If this Administration is making noises about invading Iraq, then there are very real discussions being held right now about invading Iraq. Why so surprised that Bush was serious about this being a war? That the US will continue military action beyond Afghanistan, and damn anyone that stands in the way? This is a Hawk administration, not Clinton's Hollywood Washington, all talk and no play and let's go back to wringing our hands over whether our free-rider fair-weather friends in Europe like us.
