Yamhill is based on P4 core and will be 32 bit internally. 64 bit performance will suck - probably a bit better than the Hammer emulator but nowhere near Hammer itself.

It will do as a stopgap until Intel can produce a true 64 bit x86-64 processor but it will not compete easily with Hammer. More of a face-saving rearguard action for Intel I would say.
