Ah the power to rationalise! Rather like Perle who was on TV here yesterday talking abut the U.S, going it alone if necessary 'for it's own protection', talking about Iraq breaking every UN resolution forgetting that Israel has broken UN resolutions for ever - sustained by the US veto. Selective thought is just great when you're looking for pretexts to attack.
