Yeah, if we only invested in what we know thoroughly, it would be a pretty limited field, eh? There's a big element of trust involved, that's why we're so outraged at any sign of deviousness and bullshit, imho. You know a fair bit about the science of these companies, though, right? I think I read in one of your posts that you work in the health field, do you work in a hospital? You wouldn't be a doctor, by any chance? You've studied more than I have, I must confess my brain goes all fuzzy after about 15 minutes of reading the scientifical stuff. The chart, the news releases, a very general idea of the science, and a bit of study into the history of the people involved, that's enough to trade on, for me.
Summer brings a different market, people are mostly just not interested. But there's opportunity there, and it's not hard to cash in on. The thin trading can bring volatility, I did really well last Christmas by just leaving in orders at target prices, lowball to buy and highball to sell. As long as your broker accepts the order, it's not very time-consuming and costs nothing. I have a small order in for IMT at .95 and a bigger one at .90, they're both good for 2 weeks. Today I got some .28-cent NVN, and have an order in, believe it or not, for .25.......you never know, somebody one day might put in a "sell at market" order and catch mine.....I sure hope they have a better use for the money, somehow I doubt it though.....<g>...... |
