Swayze does very well the kind of movies I like....soft romances, historical and movies about social issues....he'd be comical in a Rambo or a Die Hard kinda role....

Pitt, on the other hand, is an action oriented guy....he'd look silly in a mushy, sensitive role....but then I don't much care for action movies.

Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt look great but they lack softness, which is what *I* look in my favorite men.

The only person in the younger generation who can carry both roles equally well - action as well as soft roles, is Tom Cruise. But the downside is that that very versatilitlity prevents him from excelling in either kind of role.

Of course many of us go to see *him*, not his acting ! <g>

IMVHO, of course.

EDIT : I must say I rather liked Schwarznegger in that Kindergarden movie....so there's hope for Brad Pitt yet !
