phones are not going to be necessary in the future, at least phones as we know them now.

I got one of the cell phones 9 months ago that has voice recognition, fax modem and serial port to sync with contact management software.

I am dying to try that new Handspring organizer that acts as cell phone. One of my employees has i-pac with office applets and it's kinda cute but I am getting to the age where I an in denial of the need for bifocals so I am going to wait for a model that uses as much voice controls as possible.
Most 20 something year olds pay the $40.00 a month for a slew of daytime minutes and unlimnited nights and weekends and drop the land line phone.
