Cowboy - I am doing tolerably well, thank you. I hope you are doing at least as well. You never completely appreciate the extent to which you may be addicted to the markets until one of these long weekends occurs. I am suffering from withdrawal already. I guess I'll just go back in history and run some fast sims, like a junkie eats candy between hits.

Thanks for sharing the results of your investigation. The nice thing about paying it forward on SI is that you can be fairly sure that eventually you will indirectly get paid back by someone else's generosity with the fruits of their own time. Please also let us know what your final choice is, and if can spare the time, why you made that choice.

One reason spikes do not bother me intraday is that sometimes they appear to me to be signals between MM's, when they are not obviously egregious tape painting. Often major intraday changes in direction are unmistakably associated with those spikes. I sometimes factor them into my trading decisions. The soft insistent voices in my head also help, too. - Mike
