Thanks for the tip. But... here's the wild part - I have already turned all of these sounds OFF - there isn't a "speaker" next to any of them because I've already set the sound scheme is set to "no sounds".

The sounds are coming from the speakers themselves and the only way to get rid of them is to turn the master volume control off or manually turn it off at the speaker. Otherwise I still get the sound.

Out of curiosity, would you know if there may be an association to the fire wall getting pinged? This is a SWAG on my part since I have no idea if that is even possible.
