Sorry, I thought you meant that the bear/bull ratio is going to the moon. My point is that OTC/Arktos is a small and dwindling piece of the bear/bull jigsaw. I was not implying you meant anything. Just bringing some more info to the table.

You are right to go with commitment of funds rather than sentiment specifications. But the commitments of funds in Rydex are not as significant as they used to be. Compare the total holdings of the Rydex funds with total dollar volume on the exchanges they participate in and you will see what I mean. The decline is drastic even over a two year time period.

Instead of specification of sentiment, you can look at measures of sentiment e.g. VXN which are based on a significant amount of trades. The VXN never lies. Rydex numbers do.
