They were proved pretty unsmart all the times VIX and VXN reached local lows in past. Were P/C ratios high at those times? Yeah, I'll sell a ton of calls at low implied vol if I strongly believe we're going down. The issue, as I said, is that P/C and VIX are looking in opposite directions. Something is different; my guess is it's signaling a lower range for VIX... Rob
