Never mind that, tell us what the funny little stone man said?
The living Master Buddha you mean Greg ? The Hindu reformer that lived and preached to his "Disciples" for over 50 yrs approximately at the same time as Socrates in Greece & Lao Tzu in China?
I can tell you one thing he didn't preach McRitchie , and that was the hatred for other tribes and the absurd dogma of everlasting hell . And the most enlightened empire in the ancient world appeared during the reign of the King Ashoka in India , who converted to the Buddha's philosophy.
It was far braver to live and teach for 50yrs on earth , a teaching that has endured longer than Christianity , than to commit suicide as Jesus chose to do , after only a brief flicker of a ministry of only 3 yrs that was frought with tribal hatred , talk of murdering his enemies and their children , and incessant ignorant rantings of eternal hell and damnations .
One who was the Son of God could have chosen a more illustrious and greater mode of deed , and stayed longer on the earth to teach by example , imo , instead of whirlwind tour of Galilea , and subsequent going out in a blaze of glory and certain death kicking the money-lenders tables over .
And that was certain death for that preacher . But only to teach for 3 years ? The entire truth of God to be given in it's fullness Mcritchie , would take somewhat longer than a mere 3 yrs .
Surely a Son of God could have managed a more lengthy stay on earth to fully convey the depth of such a mighty philosophy . But not when all he had to do was be a self-fullfilling prophesy in his own mind .
praise Jesus ...but why did his "God" forsake him? |
