BTW everyone, please note that Barton reappears on the VR roadmap. Very interesting.

PS I continue to be amazed by the Intellebees (and others) who view the Hammer as first and foremost a business chip for enterprise servers. These chips main usage will be on the desktop (and very quickly, laptops) and will counter the marketing pizzazz of the P4. That part saves AMD's life with Athlon near high end performance on 180 nm and who knows how many more step-ups on 130 nm. I do admit that the Hammer possibilities in enterprise space are what make it most interesting, however. On second thought, maybe Intellebees focus on this product is because it kills them where it hurts most (high ASPs). Hmmmmm. Interesting.

BTW To you techies out there, what are the odds of a big screw-up at this point with silicon in the hands of major players? Thanks.

Jon
