How long would it take? Since one second is an eternity with God and we all reckon time differently how long should it take
Constancy ,persistance of vision , and intensity is the key .
It has always bothered me about this one Rabbai they made later into a God , that if he was the Son of God , then why so short a stay on Earth ? Virtually nothing is known about his youth or his life . Only the the last 2 or 3 yrs of his life . He springs into being as a disciple of a radical preacher in the desert eating locusts and practicing ritual bathing in the river , one called John the Baptist .
Always found this bathing ritual very curiously similar to what had already been noted by the Romans of the Hindu's to the east bathing in the river Ganges already for 3 centuries. The largest religious gatherings on the earth at the time was this purification and ritual bathing in India, and still is to this day . 25million last year.
And John the Baptist never heard of this?
This Jesus is self-contradictory . He preaches love and turning the other cheek , and the next week wishes his enemies brought before him and slain . He preaches forgiveness and tolerance and in the next sentence condemns the other tribes as being dogs and not worthy of God's message . And only to have a ministry of 3 yrs seems rather a short time for a Son of God to manage to minister. If he , being the Only Son of God , surely could managed to stay long enough to really clearly define the terms .
But we find out , Jesus himself thought the Kingdom was at hand , even while some of his disciples lived , it would come . There were of course the "miracles" , but we find the miracle of walking on the water taken from a story of one of Buddha's disciples 500yrs earlier.
A curious mixture of hope and despair....but religion was ever born of fear and despair....and hope. So many things are borrowed from the predessors. The tale of the flood in Genesis we know comes from the Babylonian story .
Must be we are already living in eternity , and the Kingdom never came , because it never went . As Buddha taught it had more to do with living and awakening .
