As a good practicing little Catholic alter boy years ago I was always shocked at how in the name of God the two factions in Ireland could be forever beating on each other. Naturally, I was a bit ( and I mean " a bit" ) inclined to side with the Catholics although I seriously knew nothing of any substance about the entire fiasco in Ireland. When I reached the age of 35, I was shocked to discover that my father ( a devout Irish Catholic ) was in fact a convert to Catholicism when he married my mom, now 68 yrs. ago. That event was an epiphany for me and, I believe, made me much more circumspect in my approach and attitude to the world at large. To this day I am a casual Catholic. I always admired the Morman TV advertisements but realized it would make some serious demands on my lifestyle so I dumped that one fast.
