Yeah, that was definitely a ride. As I remember the quake was only about 17 seconds long but it felt like 17 hours. And then there are the aftershocks. Most of the time the are just little babies compared to the first one. Except for the occasional exception when you get an "aftershock" that's stronger than the first shaking.

That sucker was 13 years ago and I still remember that ride.

But you live in the midwest, right? You know, the worst quake in US history was in the midwest.
