Tom,

I've no interest in sling mud with you. I'm simply mystified by this statement. Maybe you could help clarify this:

You say: BUSH one of the most honest men in public office

Well, I share your health skepticism about politicians in general, but calling Bush one of the most honest of a rotten breed is hardly high praise. That's sort of like calling the corpse on the top of the heap they just discovered in Georgia the most "recent". Something of a distinction without a difference, if you catch my drift.

I thought that Kokie Roberts set a nice tone on today's episode of ABC's This Week. She described the characteristics of an "axis of evil" member, and darn if every qualification applies just as equally to China as to North Korea and Iran. Kokie expressed some concern about this to Condolezza Rice, who assured us that GWB was being "honest" in his assessment of "axis of evil" wannabees. Is this what you mean by honest? I'll assure, this is what I mean by "hypocrisy".

Just for reference, I think we might want to examine some of the other wannabees:

satirewire.com

ANGERED BY SNUBBING, LIBYA, CHINA
SYRIA FORM AXIS OF JUST AS EVIL
Cuba, Sudan, Serbia Form Axis of Somewhat Evil; Other Nations Start Own Clubs

Beijing (SatireWire.com) — Bitter after being snubbed for membership in the "Axis of Evil," Libya, China, and Syria today announced they had formed the "Axis of Just as Evil," which they said would be way eviler than that stupid Iran-Iraq-North Korea axis President Bush warned of his State of the Union address.

Axis of Evil members, however, immediately dismissed the new axis as having, for starters, a really dumb name. "Right. They are Just as Evil... in their dreams!" declared North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.

Now Tom,

I may be a lot of things, but in view of my membership in American Mensa you can hardly claim I'm stupid. At least not with a straight face. People would simply decide you were being about as honest, as well, some politician you obsess over. <g>

Cordially, Ray

PS: If you would be so kind as to refrain from SHOUTING your obscenities, people might actually take you more seriously. Then again, maybe not....
