Back again! One good thing about Houston is the seafood. We had some wonderful fresh sushi and crab. My whole family was there for a color guard competition. When I was in school the kids who joined the band but could never figure out how to play an instrument were assigned to march by the band with flags. Leave it to Texas to turn this innocent activity into a competition that is serious as a heart attack. We saw the regional finals which drew contestants from as far away as Oklahoma and Mississippi. It's amazing stuff for High School with many thrown flags, and spinning swords, and precision rifle manuevers. Still, I wonder if there is any organization left for students of modest talents. TP
