India's blossoming partnership with US in security and military matters is a reference point when the same comes to US and Punkistan. India and punkistan will have a variable relationship with US, depending upon US interests in the region. Punkistan can only be a tool in the relationship, because of its extremely unequal status with US in all matters. There is no way a mouse can have an equal relationship with a mighty elephant. The pakis can't dream of an equal partnership with US, but Indians have a choice as to the shape of relationship they want to have with the US.
All this bombast coming out of punkistan about the general's successful visit to US is camel manure. The general's self-serving statements on Pearl -- any day now he will be released... we are close... etc-- are plain falsehoods. He knew it as he said it. How could US trust him?
