Let us know what you find, I have done some of these tabulations at the time for critical turning points. Interestingly, I could find no predictive powers in the P/C ratio on indices (except for tops when they really go out of hand like very large, greater than 8 P/C on the DJX index, as if the institutions were smelling a top and buying insurance in the form of puts on the index). The equity P/C ratio is better, and typically, i find good bottoms when it gets to an extreme well under .5 (very good entries were on spikes to the .4 and under area). Unfortunately, it s not very consistent and I have to use other indicators as well to come up with good predictive power.
