Good point, human nature certainly has not changed much, if at all. I think the whole situation right now is very complex, however. My gut feeling is that there really is no good precedent for this situation. There are a lot of similarities to past boom/bust cycles, but the internet seems much bigger than these previous inventions - the net effect of all the interaction that is occurring seems quite hard to measure. I tend to be too enthusiastic about technology, however, so perhaps Jacob's analysis is right on. I am curious how other's see it. John
