This is from the canada stockwatch site about troubleshooting for their site. I think the cleaning cache is the most likely answer. For IE 5, use menu Tools/Internet Options/General and click the button "Delete Files".

I am having trouble accessing the Stockwatch website
Try clearing your browser's disk cache. For Netscape version 2 or 3, use menu selection Options/Network Preferences. For Netscape version 4, use Edit/Preferences/Advanced/Cache. There is a button that says something like "Clear Disk Cache". For Internet Explorer version 3, use menu View/Options/Navigation and click the button "Clear History". For IE 4, use menu View/Internet Options/General and click the button "Delete Files". For IE 5, use menu Tools/Internet Options/General and click the button "Delete Files".

If you have a different browser there is probably a way to perform a similar function.

Also check the date and time on your PC and make sure it's correct. If it isn't then you can get cookie errors, because the expiry times are wonked.

Also, your browser must have cookies enabled. To check this in Netscape 4, look at menu Edit/Preferences/Advanced. In IE 4, look at menu View/InternetOptions/Advanced and look at the Security/Cookies section of the dialog box.

Then reboot. This will clear up any problems with your PC's DNS which is a constant source of minor trouble, in addition to forcing your browser to restart cold.

Think of this process as flushing your PC's toilet. Get into the habit of doing it regularly.

We get a number of emails every week about site access. Following these steps clears it up about 75% of the time.

I keep getting "No Cookie" errors
For some reason, the cookies which our webserver sends to your browser when you log in are not being returned when you hit subsequent pages on our site. We use these cookies to identify your session and you cannot use the website without them.

Here are some things you can do:
1. Make sure you are using a cookie-compatible browser. Recent versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer are compatible. To enable cookies in Netscape select menu Edit/Preferences/Advanced and make sure you have selected "Enable all cookies". To enable cookies in IE select menu View/InternetOptions, select the "Advanced" tab, look at the entry "Security/Cookies" and select "Always accept cookies".
2. Make sure the date and time on your PC is set correctly. This can cause cookies to time out when they shouldn't.
3. Try clearing your browser's disk cache and reboot.
3. Find out from your ISP if they have some kind of firewall, caching, or proxy server in place which is not allowing the cookies through. Get their tech support to login to Stockwatch from their premises. That will help isolate the problem.
