Thanks, jim, but I'm no specialist on Saudi Arabia.

One correctioon: there are about 7000 princes, not 2000. I don't know how long Saudi Arabia can keep going. They have tried to buy off every enemy, but that stops working when you no longer have more money than the other guy. On the one hand, the Saudi populace seems like an explosion waiting to happen: 30% unemployment, a young population, fundamentalist education, falling standard of living, an oppressive regime, etc. On the other, such conditions have continued for a long time in other places. How effective are the secret police? How organized is the opposition? I have no idea.
