I find it interesting that Barrick could take less on the spot market than they would delivering into their hedges....as I understand it, no hedges, per se, were closed. Anticipated shortage of metal with Barrick's supply needed to quench the desire or are they joining the gold rush? Suppose it all depends upon when they deliver the gold.
