Eco: On paper, dual-channel DDR266 provides exactly the same theoretical bandwidth as dual-channel PC1066, so unless implementation is poor, looks like a Column A or Column B choice to me.

I disagree.

(assuming you are saying that the two options are equal)

-> 800MHz DRDRAM is significantly more expensive than PC2100. Over 20%, going by minimum PW prices. Just imagine what the difference will be by the time 1GHz DRDRAM comes out (hint: PC2100 will almost certainly fall in price, whereas the DRDRAM will equally certainly cost more than 800MHz DRDRAM does today).

-> PC2100 has significantly lower latency than 1GHz DRDRAM. A single "channel" of PC2100 already equals or betters 800MHz DRDRAM in performance in most applications. Imagine what will happen when the one advantage of DRDRAM disappears&#133
