I do hold elected political office, and have been elected and re-elected four times. In an ultra-liberal community. My liberal constituents love me. Eat your heart out.

Your post is so far afield I won't waste the bandwidth to respond, except to say that it's quite clear in my mind that you are a shining example of the failed educational system to which I referred. Most of my colleagues, clients, friends, and family have had public education exclusively, and some of them are intimately involved in the field. Some are wildly successful, and some reflect the quality of the system of which they are a part. Most if not all readily agree that our public education system has failed and has gotten worse in the last generation. Conservatives and liberals alike.

I hold dual A.B.'s and a J.D. degree, from private educational institutions (not bragging, simply stating facts) that required independent and critical thinking, analysis, and expression, and for better or worse, made sure that their failures weren't shoved along to the next stage just to clear the decks of the sh**.

Our public education system doesn't even dare make that claim, because everyone knows it just ain't so. In some instances, they're lucky to get students to memorize and recite limited basic facts. To me, that's a failure.

Your efforts to intimidate me and others just aren't going to work. Go bother Voltaire's Porch, if they'll let you in.
