I think now that G* has started the BK process, Q is in the finest catbirds seat they could possibly have. They are the majority owners after the BK, since they have $600M in bond debt and Loral has only $500m. All old shareholders are SOL, as the bondholders get first preference on teh assets. And as majority shreholders, they could assert their rights to take over the board, boot out Bernie, and run the company as a real company that wants to grow with volume...

Now starting with a capx of essentially zero, they should be able to start running a profitable business by selling G* minutes at a fairly low rate. Imagine if the MSM chipset had CDMA2000, 1xev, WCDMA, GSM, analog, AND G* all with a ZIF radio. Roaming would be so totally transparent that nobody would ever want to know the underlying technology any more.

And since Q built the G* ASICS, they already have teh technology should they decide to build a G* mode into the present MSM chipsets.
