Hi Mindmeld, I guess we're on the same page with respect to options. Brings to mind some discussion we had on this thread a year ago.

This series, for example, from here Message 15269751

to here: siliconinvestor.com

My view on Cisco's three parts of the business (reply chain to the first post siliconinvestor.com ) hasn't changed much.

Still (a) selling Things that Power the Internet, (b) investment banking, and (c) selling slices of themselves.

Except that (c) is not proving as lucrative for the time being and is actually beginning to flow in reverse, (b) is momentarily exposed to Enflamatory Enronitis, and (a) is ticking over without all cylinders firing.

I doubt we get the same mileage going forward as we did in reverse =:0)

John

P.S. It will be interesting to note the fraction of cash flows that come from squeezing the business and suckering shareholders versus sustainable sources. What's your guess? More or less than 50:50?

P.P.S. I'm personally very much in favor of stock options. Many of them. Granted to me annually.
