You want gold in Texas it is "black gold" or get it from watchin' the sunsets over the Palo Duro..... I've heard all those stories, but have yet to speak with a solid panner to pull out more than a spot of dust from entire state from LA thru OK to N.M. Most say gold happens places that are or were worked on by water - water just never has happened enough in the few mountains of TX.
