I'm not saying they are - just presenting information. Much of the surge was in gasoline purchases as I understand it which went up in price. I don't know that you can draw a whole lot of support for robust consumer spending from that report. Don't get me wrong - I am betting on a recovery and am invested long. I believe all the nay sayers out there are short sighted and that the consumer will hold up long enough to allow the capital spending to come back later this year (Q3). I am especially encouraged by the low unemployment.
