My point exactly. Take out Mao, and I am sure Chaing Kai Shek could have handled things from there.

Taking out Stalin, would have been more difficult. But, as you say, we put ourselves in a position to where we couldn't even enforce the agreements with them. We just let them be. We have blown it at least twice with the Russians. First, after WWII. Then, after the Cold War.

Churchill was right, we should have gone after the Soviets. Truman even went so far as to publicly denounce Churchill for saying that.

And in Africa, I think Bush 41 had the right idea, armed humanitarian aid. Just like the Marxists are doing, except they also demand that if someone takes their aid, they take their rifles too. And become soldiers for the cause, and committ genocide.
