to all,
although this article is about aware we "amtx" was associated with the leading players in dsl linecode by infastructure mag. techweb.com
i quote "Aware is among a select few companies that control core technology
for the implementation of ADSL. The other leading players are
Alcatel, Amati, Orckit and Globespan/Paradyne."

pat,
this gives some more credence to your figures and i assume amtx will at least capture 10% of the usa market not to mention asia and europe.

"Although visibility is quite low, we believe Aware will handily be able
to capture 5 to 10 percent of industry revenues going forward. Net
margin will likely approximate 10 to 15 percent, so in an industry that
will see sales in the mult-billion range by the year 2000, Aware stands
to make considerable income. A $3 billion market by 2000"
