That might work in a perfect world, but in this case, it was a French judge who gave the gold medal to the Russians.
What could be done to keep the judges from selling out?

I was wondering if there could be a simulation of the perfect form beside the athletes to compare their performance with perfection?

It would be similar to what is used for training. Even this wouldn't take into account the artistic performance, so someone much smarter than I will have to solve this..LOL I'm washing my hands of it.
