Hi Herb, re: Ideas of the Day ...an intersesting (but difficult read). It took some effort to understand his writing. Wading through the stylistic and grammatical ambiguities, I believe he was attempting to say if any three of his "Acid Test 5", INTC IBM MSFT GE DELL, present negative earnings, then our bull party may be cancelled. Perhpas this conclusion is an oversimplification, and sort of obvious. It's worth mentioning, however, that I see more "worried" posts these days than before. We've always had gloomy forecasters, but the numbers seem to be getting larger. I've made no secret of the fact that I'm losing short-term faith in the market, so I may not be in the most objective frame of mind. Knowing SI to be the most accurate and unbiased indicator upon which many fund managers rely, I'll amend my previous 'Kooks' notes (630, 637) to include: 5. If the 25+ threads I follow (excluding 'Jokes') exhibit a sharp increase in 'doom' posts -AND- if Rocky Reid goes long on any of my investments, then I shall leave the market entirely. -MrB
