Hi Troy, <OT> I agree that military presence in the airports is rather adding to the "terror" rather than subtracting from it. One guy at an X ray machine isn't going to accomplish much. Prevention has to come through better and more mature "intellegence" collection and better understanding of those hostile to modern human's efforts. The old "Know your Enemy" part of this effort seems to have fallen by the wayside. Sun Tsu felt that the most skillful war tactic was to thwart the enemy's plans. We need to know our enemy well and also know ourselves without the shroud of ego. It would appear that literally YEARS of preparation were in place before 9/11 by the perpetrators. We need to catch up quickly and then maintain an active information gathering network through all types of political leadership no matter how liberal or conservative. The majority of that work needs to be done overseas. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Best regards, Tom
