I have to disagree with you about the new Etrade site. It has a few advantages, but not enough to make up for the hassle of learning a new user interface. I still haven't figured out how to get it to show me my official account positions, unless I make a trade, and then it gives me the link. Pretty cumbersome, I'd say.
It has serious bugs, too. Every time I close an option position, or an option expires, it screws up my portfolio screen by increasing the quantity of outstanding contracts instead of decreasing them. And it WON'T let me correct it myself. When I try to edit it, it just keeps insisting on including the nonexistent contracts. They still haven't fixed the bug in the way their own money market fund is displayed in the portfolio screen, which was present in the old software, so it's STILL showing it as a total loss. And when I customize the chart display, it no longer remembers my options the next time I use the feature. Total amateurish crap. |
