What is the application or service in a mobile that would need more speed than the 9.6 kbs that was available for us since Joan Collins was a virgin? You're asking that question of the wrong bunch of dimwits. We aren't the dimwits who paid $100 billion plus for licenses to deploy (a hoped for) high speed 2.4 Mbps Qualcomm flavoured W-CDMA, (or neutrally flavoured UMTS, or Euro flavoured "3GSM", whichever you prefer), plus another $100 billion plus to deploy the network infrastructure to actually use those licenses. Ask them, maybe they have an answer for you. David T.
