I gave you the dictionary definition, which includes: "the state above all else" I disagree that the trend towards a totalitarian, fascist state cannot be done incrementally. It already is.
What most concerns me is the trend towards the all-powerful state aspect.
I could care less in your referenced definition whether someone chooses Christianity or some other form of worship, or none.
Leave me alone, leave the media alone, tell the truth when required, don't shred documents or kill people, play by the rules of the Constitution, and have full, open accountability of every dollar being sucked into the giant maw in Washington, and that will be fine.
Instead we have what is becoming an all-powerful central government with the means, motive and opportunity to change what appears in the media, to hide and destroy information and lie about it, and to kill people anywhere, anytime. Secrecy of past and current activities is paramount. There are too many leaks to plug them all, so the only solution is an undeclared war.
That's a pretty effective operational definition of a fascist state.
I'll leave it to you to sort out the philosophical and religious issues. |
